NEED YOUR INPUT - ELIMINATING WARNING UPDATE STATEMENTS

WINTER SAFETY RESOURCES
This link will take to a collection of resources to help promote winter weather safety and preparedness. Feel free to use/share any/all of the material on this site on social media and any other local platforms.

NEW NWS RADAR WEBSITE
A new radar webpage (currently found at https://preview-radar.weather.gov/) will replace the current page (https://radar.weather.gov/) on or about Dec.16, 2020. Through Dec.15, the new webpage will run in parallel with the current one, in order to allow users the necessary time to transition to learning the new interactive radar webpage.

The NWS has redesigned the new page to improve our radar services based on feedback we received from many of you. The upgrade will also move the agency off the soon-to-be-obsolete Adobe Flash technology used in the current pages for radar loops.

To learn about the other new features, please read the Aware Report, 2nd article in the newsletter at:

STORM SPOTTER TRAINING 2021
With ongoing pandemic, we are anticipating that we will not be able to provide onsite storm spotter training classes in 2021. All training will be online. I will be sending more details soon.

That's all for now!

Rick
